Commercial Flat Roof Works in partnership with Moy Materials
DVC Commercial Roofing Contractors commenced Commercial Flat Roof solutions in October 2018, taken 3 weeks from start to finish to complete 800m2. The pictures illustrate the various stages of the works, unfortunately our final sign off and photos were taken in the rain.
The existing roof was a build-up of two layers of felt on half inch fibreboard; there was gravel embedded in bitumen on the top face. Moy Materials carried out core samples to ascertain the build-up. it was apparent by numerous core samples that the roof area was only defective in small areas and was ok for an insulation upgrade over existing substrate once all gravel had been removed and localised repairs carried out.

New 80mm flat roof board insulation staggered joints was adhered to the existing primed substrate with Moy Pu adhesive; this method ensured the existing VCL was not breached by using screw fixings. The finished Commercial flat roof membrane applied to the insulation board consists of two layers of Moy Material Eurogum 5KG Mineral and Underlay 3mm Torch on systems.
All perimeter edge detail was finished with a Moy Material Eurogum 5KG incorporating a welted drip to perimeter.
