Commercial Flat Roofing SIKA Liquid Plastics 20 Year-Warranty
Another great project completed by DVC Team & SIKA Liquid Plastics on this Hotel in Whitley Bay.
DVC Roofing was contacted by the hotel owner to investigate the continuous leaking roof issues. It was soon apparent that the waterproofing system on the roof was not the correct system for the geographic area and was also fitted incorrectly and not holding any valid warranty.
DVC Roofing Instructed SIKA Liquid Plastics to help investigate and to compile a specification to suit the roof structure and to take into account the geographic location.
Following SIKA Liquid Plastics Specification, the roof was stripped off down to existing joists, and new T&G decking was applied. The new waterproofing was SIKA Liquid Plastics 625, offering a full single-point warranty.
The balconies were completely renewed using SIKA anti-slip balcony specification. All lean-to slate areas serving the box gutters details were also waterproofed as specification incorporating a batten roll affect to enhance the aesthetic appearance as this was visible to the occupier.
All works were safely completed in August 2017 within time scale and budget with full compliance to current Health and Safety regulations.
This work was signed off by a SIKA Technical Officer, who following inspection, commented that it was another quality project completed by DVC Roofing.
