Single Layer Waterproofing for South Tyneside Council

Project – Mach One Single Layer Waterproofing for South Tyneside Council

For this project, we were asked to replace the existing roof on Cleadon changing facilities on behalf of South Tyneside Council.

What We Did – Waterproofing

To begin, we needed to complete a full strip of the roof down to the existing roof joists and renew the decking. We then incorporated a vapour control layer (VCL) and new insulation.

We then applied a single ply IKO Mach One flame free system, which holds a 20 year guaranteed warranty direct from IKO Waterproofing PLC.

The Finished Product

One of the main benefits of the finished product and single ply roofing is that the roof is durable – it has a 20 year waterproofing guarantee, ultimately cutting costs for South Tyneside Council in the long run.

As well as being flame and chemical resistant, this waterproofing project was extremely successful and we’re very happy with the finished product. Take a look at some other images below detailing the work that went into this roofing.
