Business Development Manager
At DVC Commercial Roofing Contractors, client relationships are our top priority. We’re looking for a dedicated and personable Business Development Manager to maintain client accounts and serve as our main point of contact. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a drive for providing exceptional customer service.
It is your responsibility to address our customers’ needs and concerns as quickly and effectively as possible to develop and help us build meaningful, long-lasting relationships that move our business forward. You will also have the capacity to explore new avenues of activity and to seek out new opportunities in predominately refurbishment works to help the company to achieve its yearly growth plan.
You will need to develop a knowledge of the roofing industry, tendering processes and understanding different roofing systems such as Liquid Waterproofing, Built Up Felt Systems, Single Ply membranes, Sheeting Cladding & Slating and Tiling.
Business Development Manager job description- Duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain our existing clients, recognising business opportunities to upsell and generate further projects from our existing clients.
- Take initiative to develop new clients within our agreed sectors.
- Ability to call on building surveyor practices and other end user clients such as property owners, procurement managers, facilities managers, managing directors and external consultants.
- You will have a pragmatic attitude, following an enquiry through to order. An understanding of design/estimating, is not essential but may be useful.
- Autonomous, innovative thinker with high energy levels, passion, and an attitude of going the extra mile.
- Align with DVC’s Mission, Vision and Values.
- Qualify and attend relevant networking events to grow the company brand and develop potential new business opportunities.
- Be highly active on business social media platforms (LinkedIn) to grow market awareness of the business and your role within it.
- Work closely with our SEO team providing information to help quality SEO posts generate additional enquiries.
- Meet regularly with other team members to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business
- As the forefront of DVC, you will need to attend social events (charity dinner evenings/weekend race days) outside of normal working hours as and when required.
- Update and maintain client information on the companies CRM system.
