The Council for the Borough of Kirklees is one of five local authorities in West Yorkshire, and the 13th largest local authority in the UK in terms of population.
It covers an area of 157 square miles, including the two major centres of Huddersfield and Dewsbury along with the smaller towns of Batley, Birstall, Cleckheaton, Denby Dale, Heckmondwike, Holmfirth, Kirkburton, Marsden, Meltham, Mirfield, and Slaithwaite.
Tender criteria
Tenders were evaluated based on the ‘most economically advantageous tender’ focusing on Price (60%) and Quality (40%), with the quality section broken down into site safety, communication management, and staff knowledge and experience.
We are delighted to be awarded the framework with an overall score of 98% across the criteria.
Scope of works
Combining both flat and pitched roofing, the specification of the framework covers all commercial buildings such as leisure buildings, schools, and corporate offices. Pitched roofs will utilise a variety of new and reclaimed slates, whilst flat roofs will utilise modified bitumen warm roof systems.
