DVC Commercial Roofing Contractors recently completed a 2300m2 NHS Cleveland flat roof replacement for the NHS Cleveland Centre in Cleveland, delivering a durable solution with the Alumasc roofing system. As well as the full flat roof replacement, we also upgraded the building’s insulation to comply with current regulations and standards.

This project involved removing the existing, ageing single-ply roof and replacing it with a modern, weatherproof Alumasc built-up felt system that ensures long-term protection for the facility. The project didn’t come without challenges; we encountered several challenges when coordinating our operations as we had to ensure safety and minimise disruption.
This required meticulous planning, as we had to consider the safety of not only the staff but also the public since the building was in constant use throughout the flat roof replacement project.
The on-site multi-storey car park only added to the complexity, especially with transporting materials to the site. To overcome this, a Bocker hoist was used to load materials efficiently without causing disruption to the car park.
