DVC went out to survey this property in Slaley Village, Northumberland. The existing roof tiling was an old hard-row concrete tile that had become porous, and many roof tiles had cracks in them. DVC advised the customer that, due to the roof tiling being porous and the age of the roof tile that the only option was to strip off and renew.
The customer appointed DVC Roofing to do the job after a full, detailed quotation. We started in January 2018 and completed it in 5 days. The works involved stripping off existing roof covering down to the existing roof joist, renewing using high-quality breathable roofing felt, timber battens and Marley Modern roof tiles, incorporating all necessary dry fix Ridge Valley and Verge systems, all fixed to manufacturer’s specifications.
We are very proud of the quality of workmanship, especially the valley detail. Each tile has been neatly cut into the dry fix valley.
