Cooking Class for Children North East from DVC
At DVC Roofing, we believe in giving back to the local community. That is why we were honoured to support our charity partner, Children North East, by volunteering at a fun and educational cooking class at their Cowgate hub in Newcastle.
Our Director, Darren Van Cliff, and his wife, Jeerapa Van Cliff, brought their passion for fresh, healthy cooking to life by teaching children and their families how to prepare authentic Thai food from scratch. From learning how to handle fresh ingredients to understanding traditional Thai flavours.
Jeerapa’s Thai heritage and warm teaching style made the experience even more engaging for the families, many of whom had never cooked Thai food before. The children were especially enthusiastic, getting hands-on with herbs, vegetables, and spices while learning the importance of nutritious meals.
We are proud to contribute to such meaningful initiatives and will continue to support Children North East in any way we can.
