We’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with some brilliant clients on some phenomenal projects. Every project wants great craftmanship, to be on budget and on programme, but working in the roofing and cladding industry across Britain is a challenging prospect. Not just for DVC Roofing but all of our competitors too, this comes a lot down to weather. At the start of 2026 and the ending of 2025, we’ve had nearly 50 days of continuous rain. So, during this tough period, we at DVC roofing try to make progress where possible even when conditions make it challenging to make significant inroads. We believe the key is to manage the clients’ expectations, as to what can be done and when, consistent updates and clear communication throughout as to when the works will be finished and to the standard our clients deserve.
To do this we have to liaise heavily with our suppliers and labour for the ever-changing logistics of the project, the push backs, the pull forwards, the last-minute cancellations due to unknown variables. Communication is at the upmost importance and building strong relationships is something we pride ourselves on, a mutual understanding of wanting the best for the project in challenging circumstances.
The resulting outcomes of strong relationships drives projects to achieve great install. In construction, there is always a demand to get projects finished on programme which is what everyone wants but we see it all too often where a pressure to get projects finished. This puts pressure on contractors, sub-contractors and labour, leading to many trades work on top of each other and ultimately workmanship is sacrificed for programme. To ensure we don’t fall into the trap we work with our suppliers and labour to ensure our scope of works is delivered to a high standard. Supplier technical visits help monitor installation quality, as well as the proper storage and handling of materials. This disciplined approach results in strong workmanship, smooth project sign-off, warranty issuance, and minimal snags.
