DVC Commercial Roofing Contractors are delighted to announce that we have been appointed to complete over 3000m² of roof refurbishment works at the Leeds Playhouse Theatre. DVC have been selected by Leeds Council to act as the principal contractor to carry out the full scope of roof refurbishment works which includes supplying scaffolding, renewal of the flat roof waterproofing system, replacing the majority of the existing roof lights, and upgrading the air conditioning and M&E units.
A roof condition survey was carried out by Moy Materials who subsequently specified a fit-for-purpose solution in their single-ply PVC warm roof system. The new roof waterproofing system offers Leeds Playhouse a waterproofing system that is certified by the BBA Approval Inspection Certification to have a life expectancy of at least 40 years, guaranteed by Moy Materials for 20 years, is compliant with The Building Regulations 2022: Conservation of fuel and power-Approved document L1B and is installed in compliance with BS 6229:2018: Flat roofs with continuously supported flexible waterproof coverings – Code of practice.
The roof refurbishment works will commence on site on 05/9/2022 with the program of works estimated to last approximately 26 weeks. Upon project completion, we look forward to sharing a full case study.
