Welcome Our New Bid Writer at DVC Commercial Roofing
We’re delighted to welcome Becky to DVC Commercial Roofing Contractors as our new Bid Writer. With over three years of experience in bid writing, she brings valuable expertise and a strong track record in preparing clear, high-quality tender submissions.
Q: What attracted you to join DVC Commercial Roofing?
I believe my skills and experience are particularly well suited to join DVC Roofing, where I can have a more direct and meaningful impact. I see a real opportunity to help strengthen and further develop the bidding function, bringing structure, consistency, and continued improvement to this area of the business.
Having previously worked within a family-run environment, I also place real value on the importance of a strong, supportive culture where people work closely together and take pride in what they deliver. That sense of teamwork, shared purpose, and accountability is something I genuinely connect with and am excited to be part of here at DVC Roofing.
Q: What are you hoping to learn or achieve while working at DVC Roofing?
I’m hoping to further develop and strengthen the bidding function at DVC Roofing, helping to build a more structured, consistent, and efficient approach to tender submissions. Alongside that, I’m keen to continue developing my own skills within the role, particularly in understanding the business in greater depth, improving win rates, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the company. I’m also looking forward to learning from the wider team, sharing ideas, and finding ways we can continually improve how we approach and deliver bids.
Q: What is a professional achievement you are proud of?
I have built a strong academic and professional foundation, beginning with a degree in Environmental Science, followed by a master’s qualification, and more recently achieving my APMP Leadership certification, supporting my development into a Bid Writer at DVC Roofing.
Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I’ve got a 10-year-old daughter, so a lot of my time is happily taken up with her. I really enjoy spending time with friends and family, and I often go down to the local cricket club. It’s a great spot to relax with a drink while the kids play out on the pitch and everyone can catch up in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I also love food and enjoy hosting dinner parties at home. Mexican food is a particular favourite of mine, and I really enjoy bringing people together over a good meal.
