Sotech, a leading designer and manufacturer of the Optima range of engineered metal rainscreen facade cladding solutions, required a high-performance roofing solution for their facility in Peterlee. Given their reputation for precision and quality in architectural fabrications, it was essential that the roofing system met the highest standards of durability and efficiency.
To achieve this, DVC Roofing was commissioned to install a 1,900m² Single Ply Roof, ensuring a robust, long-lasting, and low-maintenance solution tailored to Sotech’s operational needs. The only minor adjustment required was raising the parapets and upstands to accommodate the new insulation build-up, ensuring compliance with the required minimum upstand height. Thanks to our experienced team and proactive planning, this was implemented efficiently, maintaining the project’s momentum and delivering the expected high standard of work.
Scope of Work
We delivered a Danosa Danopol HS 1.5mm Single Ply Roof system with a 120mm insulation build-up, designed to provide superior durability, weather resistance, and thermal efficiency. This high-performance system came with a 20-year guarantee, reinforcing Sotech’s investment in a long-lasting and cost-effective roofing solution.
Our expert team worked closely with Sotech to design and implement a bespoke roofing system that aligned with their facility’s structural requirements and long-term performance expectations. We utilised the existing roofing membrane as a vapour control layer, ensuring a seamless and efficient installation. Before installation, the full roof was cleared of all debris to optimise adhesion and performance.

The project was delivered ahead of schedule and was signed off with no snags, a testament to our commitment to high-quality workmanship and professionalism.
Due to the exceptional standard of this installation, Sotech has now entrusted us with installing a new roof on another section of their site, further strengthening our partnership and commitment to delivering tailored roofing solutions.
