DVC Roofing wins Kendal College contract
DVC Roofing are delighted to announce that we have been appointed to complete over 2000m² of roof refurbishment works at the Milnthorpe Road Campus at Kendal College in South Lakes, which provides an educational offer to students of all ages via full time courses, part time courses, higher education and apprenticeships.
DVC Roofing have been appointed by Kendal College to act as the principle contractor to carry out the full scope of roof refurbishment works which includes supplying scaffolding, renewal of the roof waterproofing system, refitting and maintaining the solar thermal system and solar photovoltaic panels, upgrading the air conditioning units and HVAC systems and Asbestos removal.
A roof condition survey was carried out by DVC Roofing in conjunction with Moy Materials who subsequently specified a fit for purpose solution in their Protan single-ply PVC warm roof system. The new roof waterproofing system offers Kendal College a waterproofing system which is certified by the BBA Approval Inspection Certification to have a life expectancy of at least 40 years, guaranteed by Moy Materials for 20 years, is compliant with The Building Regulations 2010: Conservation of fuel and power-Approved document L1B and is installed in compliance with BS 6229:2018: Flat roofs with continuously supported flexible waterproof coverings – Code of practice.
The roof refurbishment works will commence on site on 22/2/2021 with the programme of works estimated to last approximately 12 weeks. Upon project completion we will upload further imagery to our website.
