The Project – IKO Polimar Liquid Roofing, South Tyneside Council
This project required us to build a new IKO Polimar liquid waterproof roof for our client, South Tyneside Council.
This was an existing felt roof compromising of three layers of built up roofing felt. This roof was leaking in several places as the existing felt was past it life expectancy.
What We Did – The Liquid Roofing Process
To strip this roof in its entirety would have resulted in having to update the insulation to current legislations, which would have had a major impact to cost.
With the IKO Polimar Liquid roofing, this enabled us to give the client a complete new waterproof roof covering without stripping off any of the existing felt covering. This also guaranteed the client a 20 year warranty direct from IKO waterproofing PLC.
The Finished Product – A Complete Liquid Roofing Project
We were extremely please with the finished product for South Tyneside Council. Not only did we manage to retain the existing felt covering, we managed to guarantee the client a 20 year warranty for the use of IKO Waterproofing.
We managed to keep this project cost effective for the client, but not compromising on product quality – supplying them with liquid roofing that will last them for decades.
